Loan Rules
Although everyone is welcome to use the Hatfield Library, circulation policies and procedures vary with patron type. Please select your patron type below to find out more information.
- WU/TIUA Students
Full borrowing privileges in the library, in addition to access to the Summit Catalog and Interlibrary Loan. - WU/TIUA Faculty/Staff
Full borrowing privileges. - Spouses, domestic partners and dependents
Can check books out from the Hatfield Library, but cannot use Summit or Interlibrary Loan. - Academic Listeners & ICLWU
Partial privileges. Card is only valid while enrolled in a class. - Alumni
Alumni can borrow from the library. Card is valid for a year, but can be renewed as often as wished. - Community Borrowers
Purchasing a card gives borrower partial borrowing privileges for a year. - NAPCU
Can borrow directly from the library while enrolled at member institution. - NHTS
Can borrow while enrolled at NHTS.
Most materials housed in Hatfield library are available for checkout (with an AVAILABLE designation in the libraries' catalog) at the Circulation Desk.
Other materials, such as periodicals, reference materials, and special collections may not be checked out. These materials have a designation of IN LIBRARY USE ONLY in the catalog.
